Dental Bridges in Overland Park, KS

No more missing teeth. Just your beautiful smile.

Explore one of our most popular tooth replacement options!

Your smile will thank you!

Missing teeth are very common. Whether the result of an athletic injury, car accident, or decay/disease, a lost tooth makes it hard to eat, speak, smile, and live with confidence. Many of our patients are worried that they might need a dental implant or dentures.

However, bridges can be a great alternative to these tooth replacement options. Schedule a visit at Bowles Dental to learn about the benefits of dental bridges. They’re particularly effective at fixing a visible gap in your smile!

Is a dental bridge right for you?

Unlike an implant, which is set into the jaw bone, a dental bridge uses the neighboring teeth as an attachment point. This makes a bridge a good option if you have healthy and strong teeth on either side of the missing tooth. Additionally, a bridge may be recommended if the gap caused by the lost tooth is visible when you smile.

At Bowles Dental, our goal is to offer options and to help you make the right decision for your smile. If you’re missing a tooth, we’ll discuss all options available to you, including bridges and dental implants.

Our dental bridge process

If you’re missing a tooth, we’ll begin by evaluating your smile and helping you choose the best tooth-replacement option. In the case of a dental bridge, we’ll:

  • Begin by planning your treatment using high-tech 3D scans
  • Prepare the neighboring teeth to hold the bridge in place
  • Take impressions of your mouth to create the “blueprint” for your bridge
  • Secure the bridge in place and ensure it fits perfectly

We’ll also discuss how to keep your bridge healthy to reduce your risk of gum disease and decay. A dental bridge takes 2 appointments to complete, one to begin the process and to take the impression. Then a local lab crafts the bridge and you’ll return to our office (about 2 weeks later) for a follow-up appointment to securely set the finished bridge in place.
